“A smart-ass angel, Azrael, jumps through hoops to learn about himself… and the nature of redemption in the first-person novel, “Inside Heaven Inc: Confessions of Azrael”… It’s a fun read filled with intrigue, relationship issues, and the overriding meaning of love, peppered with a wide range of references to… ancient mythological and religious characters. ”

“Vielee has created a unique, entertaining look at Heaven through the eyes of Azrael, the Angel of Death, as he questions his job, his boss and the corporate world of Heaven Inc. Azrael, despite his unsettling job, is a likable character who does his best in dealing with humanity, celestial beings and Lucifer himself. The author wraps philosophical questions inside a wry humor that keeps the reader wanting more…”

“The unusual point of view is one of the book’s biggest strengths, giving the stories an interesting new angle… I enjoyed the originality of the concept and the unique perspective on these familiar stories.”

“This is a thoroughly delightful and thought-provoking read… It takes a great story to make a reader have compassion for the Angel of Death, and this is that story.”

“Loved this book so much… A fascinating and very different take on angels, told from the perspective of the Angel of Death. I particularly enjoyed the dark humour, which had me laughing throughout. It was also informative, offering a fresh viewpoint on the beginning of the Old Testament, the rise of Lilith and what she represented, and the Archangels, including Lucifer. An interesting and enjoyable read, and if there is a follow-up, I’ll definitely be reading it!”

“I honestly didn’t expect the Angel of Death to make me laugh this much. Inside Heaven Inc. takes a pretty wild approach to familiar religious stories, and I found myself enjoying how unapologetically different it is… He’s sarcastic, frustrated with his job, and sounds more like an overworked employee than the terrifying Angel of Death I grew up imagining. That voice gives the whole book a surprisingly conversational feel.”
